Writing Overview
Nicola has published four books for adults and one for children.
Her latest book, telling the story of a now forgotten but at the time, notorious Victorian serial killer is near completion.


About
Nicola holds a BA in Journalism from Dublin City University and worked in political PR and marketing management before turning to a creative writing career.
In 2021 she was named one of three winners of Stellify Media/Sony Pictures All Ireland Screenwriting Competition, chosen from 500 entires. Her crime drama series is now in development. In 2022 she was named as a finalist in the BBC Writers Room / Element Pictures Northern Ireland Writers’ Award for her TV series ‘Hurricane Farm’. The series is now in development with Cowtown Pictures and was a recipient of Screen Ireland development funding in 2023.
Nicola has been a writer-in-residence twice, for Meath Libraries in 2020 and An Táin Arts Centre in 2023.
