I have always had an interest in film and TV and devote as much screen time as I do to reading! This also bears out in my career as I split my time between film, TV and book projects.

I decided to upskill in screen writing during the pandemic and found that once I understood the rules, the craft came very naturally to me. Since then I have completed a number of advanced training courses.

I entered my first screenwriting competion not long after beginning my training and was bowled over to be chosen as a winner from 500 entries and optioned outright, with my first screenplay sold to Stellify Media / Sony Pictures. I was later chosen as a finalist for the BBC Writers’ Room Northern Ireland Award and my screenplay treatment optioned by Element Pictures. The project later received Screen Ireland Development Funding in a pilot option with Cowtown Pictures.
